M project

Where do I start? I got my M all tore apart. The engine is cracked in the number 3 cylinder not the sleeve. I found the exact same cast number block to replace it 'cause my machinist said it would cost about a grand to fix mine. My 8574 head is cracked in the corners of three of the combustion chambers, it's getting fixed. The clutch housing was broke, it's getting fixed. The good news is it looks like my tranny/diff is good. I cleaned out 62 years worth of metal shavings with some diesel and the gears all mesh together real well. The bearings seem to spin good without any binding. But, I got $1800 in this thing and I ain't even paid the machine shop yet. Has anyone else had all these problems with the same tractor or God mad at me? My wife is madder than a wet hen 'cause our bank account is rapidly dwindling. She threatened to make me sleep out in the barn with the 'ol girl. Luckily it's warm out or I might freeze out in the barn.
