well i messed around with the 706 tonight for a bit. the fuel bowl is clear and so is the screen in carb. Took cap off dist. everything looked ok. The tractor starts and runs great. It even will run under a load cold but it seems like after it runs awhile and warms up good is when it quits. It runs a touch rich all the time. Iam thinking maybe its in the distributor or maybe the coil could be bad. I mess around with old cars and i know if the coils bad once a motor gets hot, the coil heats up and if its cracked the motor will quit. iam not sure though...you wont drive to ny...haha. maybe its the ignition modual in dist? i will check heat riser tomorrow. i have to go buy a book for the 706 and figure out how to check timing on it.
