Hows it goin' fellers....Was out working on my H in the garage this evening while the kids played in the yard beside the garage so I could keep an eye on them while I worked. My wife works night shift on mondays and tuesday so this has been or usual ritual for a few weeks since the weather has warmed up.Up till today everything has been working out well withe me in the garage and the kids in the yard playing and sometimes I let them help me clean up the garage a little before going in for the night. But anyhow I had just peeked out to make sure everything was ok and carried my breather and auxillary tank in to put them on the tractor when I heard THUMP a short pause and my three year old daughter scream a blood curdling scream.I dropped everything and ran out to her as fast as could hurdling a three foot high pallet of shingles (twisting my ankle when I landed). There stood my seven year old son holding a garden hoe with his other hand over his mouth his sister lying in the grass crying holding her head with both hands. He looks at me and says IT WAS AN ACCIDENT and run like HE!! for the house. He really clubbed her good with that hoe.It split the top of her ear open about 1/2 an inch and her ear is really swollen.I checked to make sure her pupils werent diolated and made sure she was ok and took her and my younger son to this house and cleaned her streaked little face and put some ice in a bag for her to hold on her ear.AND THEN I tryed to find my older son,He was hiding because he knew he really messed up because earlier in the day I had taken the hoe away from him because he was swinging it around over his head like a ninja. I put the hoe away in the shed and told him to leave it there. He had sneaked into the shed and got the hoe again.I administered the proper punishment for both transgressions and sent him to his room.Just got my stomach back down out of my throat.I truly love my kids but JESUS they can really scare the crap out of you cant they.Im sure you guys have some similar stories would like to hear them sometime......River Bottom Farmer.... P.S. Isnt it amazing how the oldest one always turn out to be the genius LOL
