The cable attaches as shown. The little arm on back has several holes to allow optional amounts of pull ont he cable. It is best when the cable lifts, just as the wheels begin lifting the rear. Thus the cable is adjusted to be tight when the tractor and maintainer are on flat level ground, and the hydro lift is just starting to put down pressure on the wheels. A turn buckle in the system is great for this task. When pulled, the cable lifts on the back of the hitch "triangle" and pushes down on the drawbar.
