No I believe it should be about 3 and 9 . Get top dead center compression, trip mag just past #1 in stall mag you may have to go a little farther with the crank pulley to get it to line up. Turn mag toward motor. Then turn motor backwards about a quarter revulution to a half what you doing is making sure the mag resets back to # 1 . The turn motor over the right way slowly untill you get to the timing line stop adjust mag out wards till it trips. If it does not it could have the wrong trip member installed or the motor might be off a tooth on the timing inside. JON
