Then cranked the engine two rounds back to tdc. Rolled the mag away from the block but no click from the inpulse. I beleave one of you gantlemen said the dog on the govener need to be stright up and down. Mine is at about 10 o'clock. It seems to run ok but I would like to set it up rite for the best power. No I believe it should be about 3 and 9 . Get top dead center compression, trip mag just past #1 in stall mag you may have to go a little farther with the crank pulley to get it to line up. Turn mag toward motor. Then turn motor backwards about a quarter revulution to a half what you doing is making sure the mag resets back to # 1 . The turn motor over the right way slowly untill you get to the timing line stop adjust mag out wards till it trips. If it does not it could have the wrong trip member installed or the motor might be off a tooth on the timing inside. JON

I believe the drive slots in the governor must be straight across... horizontal... at TDC, to give the proper range of adjustment to the mag.

But I have been told that's not right?
