I recently purchased a 460 Hi-Utility which had been abused. The hydraulic and transmission oil looked just like milk. I went through the entire tractor, took it apart and cleaned the transmission, rear end and hydraulic system as best as I could. I did not take the power steering unit apart but did try to clean it as best as I could with cleaner and air. When I started it up the hydraulics worked just fine but in about an hour, the pump started to make a noise and the hydraulics quit. When I took the filter out, it was plugged with stringy,"snot" looking substance with a slightly reddish color. There must have been about a pint of the stuff around the filter. Has any body had this experience and if so what did they determine that stuff was? Thanks
