Check this link (you may have to cut and paste) and then select crank pulley removal from the menu. It takes a little while to load but there are good photos as well as descriptions. http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/Maintenance%20Tips%20and%20Techniques/index.html The pulley is a friction fit and it pulls hard. Whatever puller you use, make sure you put some backing between the puller and the pulley rear flange as they will break fairly easy.
