Check your fluid level in the transmission/rear end. The 260A like most newer IH models uses the rear end housing as the hydraulic reservoir. At rpm's above idle you may be sucking air into the hydraulic system which will effect hydraulic performance. If this does not solve the problem, the hydraulic pump is in the rear end as I remember. If the whin is present when the ldr/hoe hydraulics are not in use, you probably have a pump issue. If the whin is only present when a hydraulic lever is pulled it may be a hydraulic valve problem.
