This will probably tick some of you guys off, but we just ordered a new fire truck. I asked if it was capable to burn Boi fuel. There were two drivers that said to heck with that as it wasn't working out. CCX was one of the companies that had trucks down in the cold weather. If I understand they still want to use the Bio fuel, but it cost them alot of valuable down time, and a lot of towing. They are probably going back to it this spring. The big guys will have to decide that. Some comented on another post I made that it was just cleaning the system out etc. I started to mention that at another gathering, and decided that they were not in the mood for me to defend Bio fuel. Seems both guys that drove for CCX had to deal with down trucks, WITH new filters. I was TOLD our local feed mill tried it on a couple of trucks, and decided to perhaps wait till a few more bugs were worked out. They just had minor problems. Please do not start on me as these guys Want to use it---farmers make most our livings, They also pay alot of taxes to fund our fire department--just have problems---. Maybe you have had good luck. I'm just saying there are some with problems that have to be ironed out, and I have little doubt they will be worked out. I personaly feel that the government should insist if you get a government farm program check for crops, you better burn farm based fuel, as well as heat your houses, hog buildings, with corn burners, and use every other farm made product. Guess what guys it ain't gona happen because the bigger money trail goes to the Oil companies. So I say lets just hang in there and get as many punches in as we can. I have noticed this board many times gets in each others faces, It reminds me of my ex-inlaws where as if you were loosing the debate you could win by yelling louder, and yelling louder sure pointed out to everyone how much smarter you were. Not to mention if you made a personal attack you simply had to a genius. We all have different points of view, and I sure hope I did not step on anyones toes, as it was not my intent. Dave NE IA
