Wow i don't want to even think about 50 below 0 ouch.I love how the scare tactics of rumors go around about bio diesel.I would rather support our farmers by using bio especially since it gets the job done.Yes usually when you first start using bio diesel it will loosen up stuff in the fuel system.Once it cleans everything out it seems to not ever be a problem again.The 2005 Silverado i mentioned in my post had very few miles on it when it plugged its filter but have had no problems since.That told me that there was some grit or something in the fuel system from when the truck was made and was proved out when the filter was cut open.I also use bio diesel in a 2001 E-350 that pulls a 20 ft cargo trailer most of the time and have never experienced a plugged filter with it. Those who cry that bio diesel is bad i think must have a connection with the oil companies and visit many boards trying there best to scare people out of using alliterative fuels.Not saying the original poster is guilty of this as he just repeated what he was told.There is no problem with bio diesel because if there was i wouldn't be using it as i don't like setting along the road waiting for a service truck to get to me in the middle of the night!Bio is great and i feel good using it to each there own i guess but some of the rumors going around about bio are just plain silly!
