Thanks.The grinding noise only started lately,in reverse...then it seemed that when i put it in reverse today,it was a gear slipping,or something.It(the tractor), would move in very small moves,then not move at all.It wont go into reverse at all now.I know this tractor is subject to gear noise,upon startup,it is very hard to shif at first ,for it grinds in all gears..after warm up its ok.Also,sometimes the gearshift lever would "go out of place" and i would have to take the cotter pin out,pull the lever out, and reset it in the proper place,because the tractor would "bind up" in gear,as if the brake was on...and i only had a gear or two.This tractor had these troubles for a while...Ill check the dipstick oil seal also..Thanks....Glen
