Finally got my crank shaft back from the machine shop. Also figured I would add a photo of the head after I had it redone. This is how you get them back. All wrapped up in cellophane. They did have to build up the #5 rod journal and then cut it back down.
Mains were cut to.020 under and the rods where cut to .030 under. I give Keith at Dordals a lot of grief all the time, but it sure is nice having his shop just 3 mi down the rd. The price he charged me was about the same as all the quotes I had gotten from places quite far away. Saved me a lot of hassle just dropping it off at his place and he sent it down with some of his stuff. Picked it up when done. I am sure he got it done at one of the places I got a quote from. So for the same money Keith gets to put a couple bucks in his wallet. Instead of all of it going to the machine shop and I get free shipping :-) I will sure feel better when the crank is in and all the pistons are attached. Here is a photo of all the shinny new valves in the head. OK I am now on the back end of this deal. Time to get it all back together.
