986 update...theres still a problem

well i split the 986 the other day and found an oil leak coming from the transmission ipto shaft seal. so i cleaned the flywheel, clutch disk and pressure plate the best i could with brake cleaner. and also put shorter bolts in the pressure plate and flywheel. I put it all back together and adjusted the freeplay. Started it up and held on the brakes and put it in high 4th and it slipped for a couple sec then grabbed and wanted to stall the tractor. hooked it up to the dump truck and tryed pulling that in low 4th with a rolling start it pulled it then started slipping. The cab mounts seem to be alright. i got told that the hy-capapcity pressure plates started coming with blocks of wood in there some place. i don't ever recall takiing them out. Can it be the T/A also and how do i check it? i've heard of blowing air in the T/A tubes but i don't recall what tube air should come out of. Any suggetions and help would be appreciated thanks.
