Paul: I don't know if this is any better idea, and just maybe you would run into the same problems as with the German engine. I know of a couple of 706 gassers this has been done with and I must admit I'm not close enough to the action to know what problems were encountered. They went to the 312 and 360 American built engines. Just a thought, but also a lot of unanswered questions. I'd like to hear some of the answers as I know where there is real nice low hour 706 gasser for sale. And now that I'm officially out of trucking, I need a project.
