I run farm plates on my truck (F-550) in Ohio, I"m listed for 40k gross. I can run almost anwhere in the state without a CDL, but when you cross state lines with farm plates all of the commercial rules apply. Fuel sticker, CDL, physical card, ect. The Medina county sheriff and the hwy. patrol put on a seminar last winter to help clear all of this up. Dont know if the farm tag rules are different in other states..
