Be certain that your battery cables are in excellent shape. The neighbor down the road had an M that wouldn't crank over very fast. After cranking for 5-6 seconds, I felt the batt. cable ends to see if they were warm. The end going to the starter was hot, as well as the end attached to the pushbutton starting switch. These were original cables. I cut off the ends and soldered new terminal lugs onto the cables. The M cranked normally after doing this. Worth a look Maybe ?
