Martin: Make that straight pipe as long as the mufler, you will not hurt anything. Just take a look through a new mufler for an H. How much different is it from a straight pipe? I have a Farmall 130, been going with a 30" straight pipe for several years now. Initially I did it because it would burn the factory mufler out in about 1 year. That tractor has alway done that. I have two other tractors with same engine that don't burn out the muflers.
