There is a simple solution... Take the keys with you. In this day and age I am baffled as to why anyone, under any circumstances, would exit their vehicle without the keys in hand. BTW, my 2003 Chevy has crank windows and manual locks. It's not that you can't get trucks without all the fancy electronics, it's that you don't want to. Blame the electronics when it's your fault for buying the fancy-schmancy jacked-up 4x4 dually... Makes lots of sense to me.
