The cat MAY not even have had anything to do with it. If it is a late-model GM pickup or SUV, sometimes the doors will lock with no apparent reason. There was recently a thread about this on another message board. Supposedly, if you bump the lock switch just so while getting out, and certain other things freak out the security system, the doors will lock something like 10 seconds later. They explained the exact sequence of events there, but I still say the #$&% doors sometimes lock with no apparent reason. That has happened twice with our 2002 Yukon. Stupid, stupid, stupid excess of electronics on these modern vehicles SUCKS!
