Unlike the Super Hs and Super Ms, IH didn't start over with new serial numbers on the Super As and Super Cs. They continued with the original numbering scheme, naming an arbitrary cutoff point where Super production began. The "F" stands for Farmall. I'm not really sure what the first "A" stands for (Farmall Hs have a "B" in this position), but the last "A" means it's an A-series tractor, and the serial number indicates that it's a Super A.
