Hey ol' Pard, This is kind of an expensive thing we do. So far, I've "adopted" three of these old tractors that were supposed to "be okay". They never are; it is a fact of life. Don't kid yourself, you will easily spend the $10K and probably more on the tractor, but don't ya think that is way smarter than buyin' one of the new plastic ones they sell nowadays? You bought a 706 diesel with a factory wide front for $2200. You just bought a legend and I think you just skinned the other guy. Heck, have fun with it. Open her up, put a motor, a clutch and a T/A in it and then see where you are at that point. Believe me, you won't take $10K for it when you're done because that old tractor is sure worth the pain. Ya just got to get across that mental "ouchy" part. Happens every time and it happens to all of us. It is part of our "ritual". :>) Allan
