Rudi: Thanks, I have read all of the manuals,and they don't really answer my question. I have not splitthe tractor to look at the oil pump, but everything else seeem sto be as it should be. From what I can figure out, the oil pump sends oil to th emain gallery, which delivers some of that oil to the filter, some to the main beasrings, and some to the front gearcase and the pressure relief valve. Dos that sound correct to you? I think I will take out the pressure relief valve and put it back with a weaker spring to see if that changes things. Andy
