What seems odd though is that it just all of a sudden started. It never had a problem like this before. Also, I just went out and checked individual gears and for some reason, 3 and 4 seem the most affected. Gears 1 and 2 are only slightly loose. Is there some kind of a spring that keeps tension on the shift linkage or on the shifting forks themselves that could have broken?
