I like GM, but I am not brand biased. It all depends on what you want the truck for, load carrying capacity, towing capacity, or just the way it looks. Go to the manufacturers web site and look at the specs. All 3 manufacturers have mostly equivalent models, I don't think the hemi is a racing engine, particularly, since it is probably detuned somewhat for truck use. It is a selling point for Chrysler, who are trying to bring back the glory days of NASCAR in the 60's and 70's when the 426 hemi gave the other manufacturers fits. If you want economy, and can stand the extra $5000 or so, buy a diesel. I couldn't pass up GM's employee pricing, I bought a new GMC Z71 for $8000 off list, 5.3 liter, 4.10 rear end, obviously lousy gas mileage wasn't a factor in the decision. Trucks are a matter of opinion, shop around and do your homework first.
