Well I broke down this weekend and talked the other half into a new Cub Cadet. I am getting sick of trying to mow 2 acres of hills with junk. So I get myself a brand new 1554 GT series 27hp Sound like a harley when shes running. lol Well I try it out on our burnt crisp grass and when I shut it down it backfires. So the next time I let her idle for about 30 secs and she still backfires. So I call the dealer that services them and he says I have to shut it down a full throttle. And it will never back fire again. Well I dont really get that one but the manual says to run it at full throttle at all times and shut down at 3/4 to full throttle. So why do they even have a throttle lever then ????? I guess they say that the oil pump and stuff gets the best pressure at that throttle. I will tell you one thing she takes the tall grass that I mow with the bush hog and says please sir give me some more.Shea a bear.Hopefully this one will outlast my 13 year old murry that I have been using. JON
