Thanks for all of the advice.
There was a tiny amount of moisture in the regulator cap that we saw and both of us knew that wasn't good.
I'm not so sure the lights are working on it, although I do have a new loom in it. I'll have to check that one out.
Wonder if I could direct wire a boom box...better yet, a TV...even better a 12v refrig for my wine coolers, which I found I liked drinking while wallowing in the mud.
As for the bad words that were said. I sure didn't say anything out loud and what was in my head was my business. Knew enough to keep my mouth shut, or I'd be doing the job myself next time! The only loud words were when a snake decided to pay a visit and I'm not so fond of snakes! Didn't get pictures...that would have REALLY P'd him off! The ruts are still there, though...hmmm.
What is it with guys that they think that deeper in the mud is gonna give them more traction or something? I could see what was coming plain as day.
I also had to be very grateful cause one of those batteries that helped start the thing was THE Camaro battery! I might be owing hubby some bucks for this one if it won't hold a charge now. And I'm the one that spent the 90 bucks for the battery in the first place! (Birthday gift).
We'll be doing a lot of electrical testing while running next time since this problem appeared to be intermittent.
Thanks again and good to be reading the boards again, even if for a short time till school starts again.

Diana

Today's Featured Article - Choosin, Mounting and Using a Bush Hog Type Mower - by Francis Robinson. Looking around at my new neighbors, most of whom are city raised and have recently acquired their first mini-farms of five to fifteen acres and also from reading questions ask at various discussion sites on the web it is frighteningly apparent that a great many guys (and a few gals) are learning by trial and error and mostly error how to use a very dangerous piece of farm equipment. It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro ... [Read Article]
