Remove the entire assembly from the tractor. Take the bowl off, and immerse the rest of it in a 5 gallon bucket filled with diesel fuel or solvent if you have it. Let it soak overnight, then agitate the assembly and let it soak some more. When you think it is clean remove it from the bucket and set it somewhere to drain. You can finish up by blowing compressed air through it to dry.
