Proper installation of safety wire on main bearing

Hi, I'm assembling the motor for a '40 M, and I've gotten to the point where I need to install safety wire on the main bearing cap bolts...something I haven't done before. Any suggestions on the right and wrong way to do this? I get the part about wiring them to pull tighter as opposed to looser, but beyond that, I'm making it up... Thanks, - David
