Man, you got that right. The tractor place tried to persuade me to walk away from it and they wanted to sell me a M-F 135(?) about 1974 with a loader. But it just didn't look right and the loader was anerexic compared to the 240's "Superior" model. Had stuff I didn't need, like 3-pt hitch and dual range gearbox. Heck, I don't need that stuff. I only use my tractor for bucketing snow banks, hauling fairly large trees and brush, and digging/ hauling fieldstones. The 240U has a solid drawbar and a greatly strong bucket, and a good running engine that starts (finally) and doesn't smoke a bit. I feel like I understand it and I don't understand a M-F.
