Mud,--I had the same problem on my B. LACK OF LUBRICATION. The way I fixed mine was to run a little oil line from the the oil gallery up to the top of the gov housing where I drilled & tapped a hole directly above the gov mecanism so that engine oil would drip on the gov shaft.After I had it all hooked up,I pinched the oil line with a vice grip so that oil would would just DRIP.--- There may be easier ways to do this,like drilling a hole in the top of the housing and oiling it with an oilcan. Up to you,but you will see when you take it apart that that particular area of the the engine is not a well oiled spot. Best to you---Bill
