Well fist off if i am reading this wright , you say that when you pull the stick back it will not go ????? but it will work foward . Lets get this stright if the stick is foward towards the radaitor then it is in the high side of the T/A and with the stick back it is in the LOW side of the T/A ,When in the foward posision theT/A Clutch is ingauged and all power goes stright thru but if the tractor stopes in this foward posision then it is the T/A clutch that is out or slipping . But if the tractor stops moving when you pull the stick back then it is the RAMP AND ROLLERS that are out to lunch . Either way you will have to Split it and if you have never done one before then it is best to let someone that real knowes what he is doing do it . Case and point i just got a call this morning from a guy that just did his T/A in his 400 Farmall because he wanted to same the 475 buck that i charge to do one plus parts well now he has hy tran running out the bottom so now the tractor that only has 20 hours on since he DIY has to come back apart becase he was not carefull on the one seal I am not sayen that you can't do it but it is not as easy as you think and the input shaft can go either way but it will shove the crank foward if put in wrong and wipe the thrust out as this has happed before SO if you are going to do this then make sure that you mark the input so you don't screw up on that and you SHOULD HAVE THE SEAL PROTECTOR FOR THE ONE SEAL AS THIS WILL SAVE THE REAR SEAL it can be done with out it but i am tellen ya to get it wright it is a bear.
