You are under no obligation to buy the tractor. Just leave it alone and see if it gets relisted. If it does, you can start all over again, only this time, don't bid even as high as you did the first time. This might get the seller to wake up and realize that we all know what kind of a scam he is trying to pull, and if he really wants to sell it, he needs to be fair.
