I'm working on a Cub engine that had a low oil pressure issue the last time I started it. I have the oil pan off and the first thing I noticed was the pick-up tube screen appeared to have collapsed a bit (almost like the screen was being sucked in towards the tube. The screen appeared to be free of foreign matter. There was a minor amount of dirty sludge in the bottom of the pan. Has anyone seen an oil pressure screen collapse and cause a low oil pressure problem like that? I'm going to pull the oilpick-up tube out next and see if there is an obvious blockage. Any other suggestions for diognosing a low pressure situation?
