I added Live hydraulics to my '47 M last summer. Certain M&W pumps have an elongated hole to compensate for the design change that happened in mid 1950. No it is not cheap but well worth it. I engineered my 4-way valve in myself by welding up a bracket to mount it by the belt pulley. you just have to measure up hoses then, and a lever to your valve. It's best if you gut the existing belly pump ( I did) but you can get by just pinning the belly pump lever back. Took me awhile to figure out why the pump really whined when cold. I switched to Hy-Tran, and alls well with the world. Is this cheap? Nothing done well ever is. Good Luck to you. Randy
