I have one off of a 400 that will work if you elongate the one mounting hole. I am asking $200 plus shipping for it.

IF YOU DO NOT NEED THE PTO FOR ANYTHING-THAT IS THE CHEAPEST.

I added Live hydraulics to my '47 M last summer. Certain M&W pumps have an elongated hole to compensate for the design change that happened in mid 1950. No it is not cheap but well worth it. I engineered my 4-way valve in myself by welding up a bracket to mount it by the belt pulley. you just have to measure up hoses then, and a lever to your valve. It's best if you gut the existing belly pump ( I did) but you can get by just pinning the belly pump lever back. Took me awhile to figure out why the pump really whined when cold. I switched to Hy-Tran, and alls well with the world. Is this cheap? Nothing done well ever is. Good Luck to you. Randy

No cheap way, a used pump off a Super M will work, or you can buy a rebuilt one for $500 or so. M&W used to make live pumps for the M, may be hard to find. If you use it heavily, you might need to replace the cam gear. I believe it takes a different front cover, not sure. It mounts in front of the distributer.

Depending on what you are using the hydraulics for you can run a pump from crank pulley or generator drive. For instance a power steering size pump can run off generator belt no sweat, but if you need a hydraulic loader size pump you can add a pulley (or two) ahead of the crank pulley and undersling a large capacity unit. Not cheap if new, free if you have stuff laying around and are very handy. My nickel Dick Davis
