Our first tractor was / is a 300U Dad brought it home when I was eight. I have plowed with it, planted with it, hauled tens of thousands of tons of sunshine with it, praised it , cursed it and driven it into the farm pond.... twice. It is the absolute sturdiest little tractor I have ever been on. I can't over state the fact that I HATE THE CLUTCH! after a day of hauling "berner" as my nephew calls it, I can only walk in circles. My left leg in high school was five times larger than my right which made me a lousy dancer and ended any chance I had of getting on American Bandstand. Just like my wife, there are things I would like to change on my 300U but I love it to death and it would take more money than Donald Trump has to take either from me. All three of us have been growing old together and have many shared battle scars. Enjoy your 300U and start doing leg lifts. Add weight to the rear ( yours or the tractor's) if you are actually going to lift snow. Beware the clutch in close quarters once your leg gets tired too. I fixed a lot of fence.

Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start
