Tanner: Just to add to what Bob has said as I agree on the amount. I was advised by an IH technician years ago to use white automotive grease, much better for those small gears, and gives better lubrication in all seasons. I buy it in squeeze tubes, very easy to put in by just removing plugs on side of dostributor drive. I've been using that close to 40 years. The manual will give good advice on how often and how much.
