1.Super M came with 4 inch pistons,the compression was optional.You could order different altitude pistons when you order your tractor,up to 10,000 ft altitude. 2. yes they were offered in 4inch 3.If your sleeves are worn and pistons are not,sure just change the sleeves. 4.You would have to measure the pistons for wear.Years ago the practice was to knurl the piston skirt and use oversize rings. 5.All goes back to how worn the pistons are. A couple of years ago I was doing the same thing with my 53 superM. I had low compression on one cylinder,turned out to be the rings on that piston were broke and broke the lands out.Also had a badly craked head that leaked like a screen door on a submarine! I did a full rebuild.
