I have a white demo C that I repainted red. Accepted serial number range is 47010-54411, or about 7400 assembled, not exactly rare. Built in the 1st quarter of 1950. The only difference in a C and a white C is the color -- so I don't know why they would be worth more, but some people seem to think they are. IH built Cub's Super A's and C's as part of their "mid-century promotion", or something like that. Objective of course was to call attention to their tractors. They were supposed to be painted red by the dealer before sale to the farmer, a few probably escaped. There really isn't anything more to say about them. Get Guy Fay's Letter series book, pictures are in it. Basically, wheels, lights, air cleaner cap, distributer, and seat are red, everything else white. Not very attractive to look at, which is why mine is red -- to each his own, only my opinion.
