Hi, No, they are a planetary gear set & additional clutch assembly, which is housed inside a cast iron body segment of the tractor and this segment lives between the engine and the rear end housing. Kind of a big heavy duty spacer gizmo. When they work as designed, they are the best thing since sliced bread. Nope, don't think your guy has one, Allan
