Heres an update!

It helps when you start from scratch.I had another old leftover mag that I was told some 10 years ago wasnt any good,it had been converted to work as a distributor like the mag on my M had been,and it was just sitting there so I said what the heck start over.took everything from the first mag,all new stuff and put in this other mag.Installed on tractor,and got a few loud pops from the muffler and Im here to tell ya,under my steel building its loud!Anyways I checked the plug wires first and like the big idiot I can be, I had them on wrong.No 1 is suppose to be above the 1 in the circle on the cap,I put it below the 1,where 3 is suppose to be,so I corrected that and now it purrs like a kitten.What I dont understand is why the original mag wouldnt work except on the bench.Oh well,chalk it up to another mystery.Thanks guys! PS I still hate mags!
