Dick: The problem with not fixing a leak is, some YT contributors do come visiting. They are very sharp critics. On the heat item, yes I do remember 300 hydraulic system running quite hot, espacially on front end loader work. Not hot enough to remove paint, but you didn't keep your hands on it long. I guess you have the answer, system is completely separate from transmission.
