Really? Even our local IH dealer advised my dad against buying one back when he bought his 1466, when we rented a 1468 in place of our broken down 1206 we found out why so few where sold. No more power then the tractor it replaced (1206 not 1466) and seemed to spend most of its time feeding at the fuel truck. Neighbor did buy a 1568 brand new in the spring, traded it that fall - same reason. They might be fuel efficent with no load (but why run a 160+ hp tractor if your not loading it up?), but they suck it down when under load faster then any tractor we had ever placed in the field - including our 4568 (a tractor not exactly known for its fuel economy either).
