Hugh, Good to hear from you. I bought the pump @ 3 months ago and have been working on building the new house so the tractor has taken a back seat. Today I decided to drill the hole into the cavity behind the impeller. I gave up the old one for a core, so I couldnt compare. I think it will be OK. I will post my findings once I get it running. I didn't want to give Case IH $8.65 for the rubber grommet that goes behind the water pump to connect it to the water neck so I am using a tire valve stem. I cut off the area that goes inside the rim and trimmed to fit, looks like it will work out. Talk to U later, Kent
