Jamie, I can't remember if you said that the tractor missed when you got it. If it did and the miss is constant, than it may be several things, a couple of which have been addressed by some of the others who responded to your post. One thing you mentioned is that you replaced the plugs, points, distributor or mag cap, but you assumed that the ignition wires were in good shape. You might replace the ignition wires, as a lot of replacement wires are carbon cored and not copper wire core. Believe me, your tractor will run better with copper solid core wires, especially if you have a magneto rather than a distributor. Since you have replaced everything else in the ignition system, my suggestion is that before you dig deeper such as manifold gaskets or sticking or burnt valves, you replace those wires. If it still misses, you won't have spent a lot of money, and it will be money well spent regardless of the outcome.
