Man, oh man, Joe. I have just gone thru the EXACT same thing with a 460. I still don't have it completely resolved, but I'm close. Well, number one, you've got to fix the Tel-A-Depth differential gears. Number two, bet you ten bucks to a donut the orifice plug and screen is plugged. Just behind the sheetmetal where the brake set pull rod attaches, are the Hydra-Touch spool valves and the Tel-A-Depth spool valve. Also in this area and mounted low close to the transmission is the pressure relief/pressure regulator control. According to the I+T manual, location of all this stuff is self evident. Hardee har har. The orifice plug can be accessed by removing the regulator block cap and its 4 cap screws. The cap faces rearward toward the gear shift. Unscrew only two of the cap screws and remove them. Then insert longer cap screws in these holes, then back out the two remaining original cap screws. This keeps the pressure relief spring from launching into the back 40. The orifice plug is noted by its screwdriver slot. It will be staring right at you. Remove it and check it. If this is plugged, the regulator valve can't get a signal to dump pressure during over-pressure conditions which is what you describe. Check the screen and the orifice plug hole. My over-pressure squealing conditions are resolved. Now I can't get the hitch to settle down. Some coffee, reading glasses, and my brother's brains will get this fixed. Then I'm going to plow.
