I followed Mike Hanley's link (below) to Wiscon Historical Society site. Found many interesting pictures, tractor and otherwise. Looks like a prototype of the A in one picture (1937 I think), and on page 39 there is a woman on a B pulling a planter. The picture is in black & white but you can see that the starter and the headlight are a different color. They look to be painted black! I know the tractor is not new, but I would think new enough to not be repainted. Also the exhaust pipe is cut off very short. Also their is something sticking up on the right side of the grill. Looks like something my father would put there to sight over to get the rows straight. Found most of the pictures on the 42 pages to be very interesting. Thanks to Mike H for taking the time to post us the link. Maybe those JD guys aren't all bad? Dave.
