Needing some questions answered on a M&W 9 Speed Lever type transmission. I bought a parts tractor for the nine speed and once I removed the top plate, I saw that the fork was not over the shifting lever that engages the 9 speed. I removed the outer lever so I could move the fork around th plase the "dog leg" shifter into the fork. This wasn't my problem however the dog leg will move back and forth properly shifting in and out of the 9 speed but the dog leg has vertical movement that allows for it to not stay up on the engaging gear. My question is there a peace that is supose to hold the dog leg up into the fork so it doesn't have the vertical movement? PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance. Ohio M Puller
