JB, Thanks much for the input. I sometimes have a hard time stating facts in email (per my boss :-)). The shaft does come out of the right hand brake housing following the cam shape of the pedal. I don't know what is on the other end, but I suspect it's some spline-shaped coupler that slides over both axles to lock them together. If somehow the shaft became disconnected from the coupler, I wonder if I can drain the gear oil and come in through the PTO opening to manually slide the coupler off one axle; does this make any sense to you? I appreciate your time and thanks again for your feedback. Ken in Virginia
